What is Kodaiji Temple

Kodaiji temple locates to the East are of Kyoto city. This temple is popular with the building, cherry blossoms, the garden, and tea ceremony room.

The best season of the temple is the end of March to the middle of April or the end of November to the beginning of December.　

Hisotry

In 1606 A.D. the temple was established to mourn for the death of Shogun Hideyoshi Toyotomi by one of his wives “Nene”. In 1624, changed the name to “Kodaiji” temple as now, but sometimes it calls as “Nene” temple. Unfortunately, sometimes it burned out and there few of them are left in this moment.
