There are so many folklores in the world and of course there are in Japan, too.

The story was changed with many reasons in the history such as naturally, politically, ethical, etc. But still, folklore is one of the favorites of children.

Japanese folklore have a remarkable characteristic. Almost every story a man and a woman (normally they are husband and wife) appear. If you ask to a Japanese to tell how does Japanese folklore start, the person tells you “long, long time ago, in somewhere there were a old man and woman.” The old couple rate should not be higher than actual rate, but in many stories appear them as Japan was full of old man and woman. Perhaps, there were many old man and woman in Kyoto, the capital of Japan at that time: )
